BOYS ARRIVAL

Hello all!!!  Well, they are finally here with us and what a wonderful gift.  Gerrit Nikolaas and Austin Noel arrived yesterday, November 17, 2006 at 9:36 a.m.  Kristi is recovering fine now after a rough start.  She won’t tell you this so I will, there was a “technician error” yesterday and essentially Kristi was on NO pain medications for about 5 hours after delivery.  It was noticed by a wonderful nurse that the pain medication pump was not working.  Long story short, Kristi had a very painful day yesterday but is now recovering quit well and was finally able to hold the boys this morning.  Trust me, she is not complaining about her pain, we are both just so happy that Gerrit and Austin are doing so well.  As Kelli reported in the Dutchicans blog, the boys came into this world breathing room air on their own.  The NICU staff report that this is a wonderful start and that the boys weights (4 lbs) are great for multiple births at 32 weeks (and one day, every day counted).  I know you all are waiting patiently for pictures.  Here are some to get you started.  I came home real quick to get cleaned up and send this post, am anxious to get back to my wonderful family so please forgive the sloppy and quick post. Here’s the boys at just minutes of age.  First, Mommy saying hello to Austin.
