Vitals
Pattern: Ariann, Designed by Bonne Marie Burns
Yarn: Old trusty Cascade 220, color #8012, 4 skeins, professionally winded by yours truly during a flee-the-house-meltdown moment.
Needles: My pretty sparkly Addi Turbo Circular 32 incher (he he) size 6 and 7, Clover Bamboo DPNs size 6.
Things I Learned: HOLY CRAP! I CAN KNIT A SWEATER THAT FITS!
Destination: Debut at the Gipsy Kings (V-day gift from the boys). For those who aren’t familiar with them or even for those who are, I challenge you to listen to a few of their soundbites on their website and not shake your rump shaker – (especially Bamboleo on their 2000 Best Of). I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU! After the concert was complete, I made a career decision to become a flamenco dancer that wears wool sweaters – THAT FIT!

It looks great!! And I can’t believe how great YOU look after having the boys so recently.
Sounds like a great concert, too – I love their version of Hotel California.

Beautiful knitting! I didn’t realize how elegant the cardi looks from the back until I saw your version. Now I can’t wait to cast on for my Ariann.

Beautiful sweater! I can’t believe how good you look!
February 14, 2007 at 9:46 am
WOW! You look great. Gipsy Kings are my traveling music (only when in the car alone!). It’s hard to shake the rump shaker while driving, but the steering wheel makes a great drum! Sweater is fantastic. Isn’t it “nice” to know you can do it. Had the same experience with my first “it fits” sweater, too!

Oh my gosh! You look fabulous! And so does your sweater =)
February 14, 2007 at 10:11 am
wow! so pretty! i’ve never knit a sweater… my biggest fear is that i’ll make one that doesn’t fit! glad that didn’t happen to you! : )

Gorgeous, Kristi!
February 14, 2007 at 10:20 am
Please tell me that you didn’t JUST have twins. I still don’t look that good – and my babies are 10 & 12.
February 14, 2007 at 10:22 am
You know sweetie, that all through your pregnancy you moaned about how once the babies were born you’d never get to knit anything of substance again until they went off to college. And now you knock off a sweater….a sweater with a pattern to it no less….in a few weeks. You will never earn sympathy again. Unh uh. None. Not gonna happen.
Btw, when I click on your archives links, I don’t get your archives. I get a completely different blog.

That is a wonderful sweater! Great job.
You look absolutely amazing, too.

You and the sweater look great!
February 14, 2007 at 10:37 am
It looks wonderful and you look gorgeous! Wow, the boys are already shopping? Puts my girls to shame, 12 and 9 and not one card! Which means Hubster messed up big time.
February 14, 2007 at 11:02 am
That looks amazing. Good job!

I am so jealous! Your sweater is beautiful, and so are you! I’m thinking not much sleeping goes on at your house. Twins and a completed cardigan…I’ve got to improve my time management skills. Happy Valentine’s Day!
February 14, 2007 at 11:48 am
Oh my gosh! you look great after the babies…..well, I suppose the boys make you skinny FAST!!
The sweater is FAB!
February 14, 2007 at 1:50 pm
Absolutely gorgeous! I have to tell you that all of the sweaters I make are on the non-form-fitting side usually. I think I’m afraid of failing at the fitting part. My hat is off to you. I credit your fantastic ball-winding skills!
February 14, 2007 at 1:52 pm
Gosh Kristi, the sweater turned out perfect! I can’t believe how fast you finished it with the boys underfoot. Have a nice evening with the Gipsy Kings~
February 14, 2007 at 2:06 pm

February 14, 2007 at 2:24 pm
The sweater = KILLER!! I haven’t wanted to knit it until NOW.
You = HOTTY!!! If everybody could regain such a pretty figure and look so good after having a single baby much less TWINS we’d be having a major overpopulation problem!
xoxoxox Happy Valentine Day.
February 14, 2007 at 2:33 pm
Wow! It didn’t take your body long to bounce back from the boys! You and the sweater look fabulous!
February 14, 2007 at 2:49 pm
The sweater is perfect-I can’t believe you can knit a sweater and take care of twins and everything else there is to do in a house of twins! I think when my 3 were little I was soo brain dead that all I could manage was a nap in the bathroom-the only room with a lock on the door but with a wide enough gap on the bottom for them to put their fingers through and say things like” Mommy, I need________(fill in the blank) right now ” or ” Mommy, he is breathing my air-come out before I suffocate”. Fat chance, call me if your hair is on fire or if blood is pumping from an artery. Maybe I should have tried knitting on the pot-or pot while I was knitting.
February 14, 2007 at 2:56 pm
The sweater is really sharp. Congrats.
February 14, 2007 at 3:57 pm
Dang, that’s beautiful!

You look incredible after carrying 3 babies! I am still working on 7lbs but am still not down to my pre-preg size. Beautiful work.

You did NOT just give birth. Forget how great the sweater is. I hate you.
You need to show Bonne Marie!
February 14, 2007 at 9:47 pm
That is one gor-ja-mous sweater, darlin
EXCELLENT JOB!
February 14, 2007 at 9:49 pm
PS–I adore Gypsy Kings (since grad school…back in the early 90s..seriously).
And Bombaleo is on our music at the shop very regularly…ever hear it there?
February 15, 2007 at 9:24 am
That sweater looks great! I love Bonne’s designs – I am working on the ribbi cardi right now! I will echo the comments regarding the fact that you do NOT look like you just had a child, much less twins!!
February 15, 2007 at 10:24 am
Gorgeous! Congratulations on a sweater well done!
You, by the way, look fantastic too!
February 15, 2007 at 2:55 pm

February 16, 2007 at 12:20 am
What a fabulous sweater. I absolutely adore the Gypsy Kings, have been to their concerts and danced all night. I have most of their CD’s and Bamboleo was always my favourite. Great music, full blast while your housecleaning, works for me…ciao
February 16, 2007 at 10:43 am
Your sweater is so beautiful! Now I’m just dying to knit one.
The Gipsy Kings are so much fun. I saw them at an outdoor show just outside Chicago a couple summers ago, and it was just the perfect night.
February 16, 2007 at 2:46 pm
Gypsy Kings? I haven`t heard them since we used to go and stay in my late FILs house in the eastern Pyrenees, fifteen plus years ago. Thanks for the reminder!
Nice sweater, btw. You look amazingly svelte in it, considering how recently you were pregnant!
February 16, 2007 at 6:52 pm
That looks great. You can actually see more of the detail in your photos that I was able to make out in the ChicKnits photos online. The fit is perfect.
February 17, 2007 at 2:50 am
