Scrapster is home and surgery-free. Not only are we celebrating this event, we are also celebrating another big milestone:

Graduation to big boy cribs and my mom’s graduation to circular needles (despite numerous curses and mom’s constant “I want to do it MY way!” – hubby was able to see the genetic knitting code handed down first hand).
While hubby was in the hospital with Scrapola, he woke up in the night to find Scrappy missing and later was discovered at the nurse’s station smiling in the arms of a nurse with a very ample bosom. Since this hospital go-around we have since learned that Scrappy is a boob man – AKA, “I’m screwed!” I also finished an object in the hospital since Scrapster enjoys sitting on my chest while I’m knitting:

The Details:
Pattern: Daisy sweater, 12 month size
Needles: Size 7 Addi Turbos
Yarn: 2 skeins (with NOTHING left over) Butterfly Mercerized Cotton, colorway #2026
Destination: A friend’s baby boy due in May
Comments: It’s official, I HATE knitting with cotton. Note to self: use bamboo with cotton – addi’s suck. Enjoyed the colorway. A little too much seaming for my taste but still a cute pattern – will be a one hit wonder in my book. Lots of steam blocking required to get the seam stitch edging down. Button shopping is always fun:

The crib set up is so cute! That will last ’til they stand up or start talking to one another. Should be fun to watch that happen! You are an amazing mother to these two blessings. They have a remarkable Daddy as well!
Blessings!

Big boy cribs already!?!?! WOW! I’ve got some cute twins in cribs stories from when mine were still little ones. The don’t call them double trouble for nothing. lol.

The sweater turned out so cute – and the kitty tail only enhances the cuteness.
Yeah for the Scrapster being home! And big boy cribs – *sniff* they grow up so fast…

I remember when my oldest son, now 21, had to go into the hospital at 5 months old for a few days…the nurses were sad to see him go. They had nicknamed him “Bruiser” – he had the cheeks man! I think that the peds area of the hospital has the nicest nurses.

Glad to hear Scrappy is home!
They look so tiny in the big boy cribs, don’t they?!
Love the sweater, but I know what you mean about knitting with cotton.

Three cheers for everyone being home in their own beds!
The sweater is adorable. I love circular needles, but cotton is an acquired taste.

Yea!! Glad you home! Glad your mom saw the light and switched to circ’s! The baby sweater is darling, but I agree after two log cabin blankets in Butterfly Cotton last summer I’ve had enough cotton to last me for another year or two. About the boob man—one of my boys was like that–it ’s gone dormant but I’m just waiting for it to reappear. What about my baby boy who couldn’t keep his hand out of his diaper (for lack of a better “baby like” phrase”)? That’s went dormant. And is NOT one that I AM likely to see reappear, as his mother! Hopefully not…I always knock.

Well, I certainly hope that Gangles is a boob man too, as Marina’s mom is rack-tacular, so, I’m assuming will daughter.
Glad to see Scraps back home safe and sound and in his new crib

Hooray for Scrappy! Hooray for the boys moving into cribs!
The sweater looks GORGOUS. I love it. I knit that pattern last year for my cousin’s baby boy and made it to look like Captain James T. Kirk’s Starship uniform from the first season of Star Trek. My cousin is a huge Trekkie.

Yay for the Scrapster!!
The *only* cotton I’ve ever liked is the Blue Sky Alpaca cotton (orgranic or not). Like buttah. The sweater looks cute, regardless

I love the stegasaurus button. So glad your family is staying in good health, even if it involves trips to the hospital.

Very cute sweater!! And hooray on Scrappy pulling thru and the boys graduating to big boy cribs! Ahhhh!!!!
I was thinking of you guys as we drove thru North Carolina and I discovered a chain of restaurants called Bojangles. Hee hee…I wanted to snap a pic, but let me tell you how hard that is to do when you’re driving!

The boys look so tiny in their big boy beds! My husband says Dutchmen are always boob men. So send little Scrappy over anytime-I have just what he needs! My nieces and nephews used to go from screaming their heads off to absolute contentment whenever they were given to me to “calm them down”!! LOL

Have you heard about my Magic Nap Boobs? They’re legend in the greater Lansing area. LOL When I did daycare years ago I was called The Napmaster because I was able to get even the most difficult kids down for naps. And well, Ravyn, Devin and Wesley all couldn’t/can’t fight the power of the Magic Nap Boobs.

I am a cotton hater too, cute sweater though
