You’re never too young for a first trip to Starbucks

Hubby’s off on “vacation” for the week and we have taken advantage of the warm weather and the end of RSV season to hit the road. Hubby will have a play by play of the 2007 Spring Break Expedition Stroller Tour on his blog, but here are a few pics detailing the dress code of the first three days of the tour.
I was elated to find a prize in the mail today from a blog contest I won over at Just a Knit Wit - a new blog I discovered and encourage you to check out. You can never go wrong with sock yarn, cool stitch markers, and some knitting music – thanks!
I’ve declared this summer, The Summer Of Socks! I just don’t own enough of them and it certainly isn’t for lack of owning sock yarn – I organized my summer survival kit with the goal of having all of these knit into real socks by the first day of Fall.
This is the day whereby I intend to dive into hubby’s Christmas Gansey as requested – and just like the Harlot’s hubby – down to having his initials since hubby isn’t a strong swimmer.
Blogging will also be slowing up some as the warmer temps hit and the needles will get traded in for running shoes and good summer reading. Once a month posting will happen after a special date on April 1st.

I recognized Scrappy’s sweater right away! How cool is that? I find it amazing that he wore it on his first trip to Starbucks… all three of my daughters are baristas, two of them at (you guessed it) Starbucks!!
I have enjoyed every minute reading about your new family. Thank you for sharing with us.

I will miss you when you stop posting so regularly. Your posts and your photos always make me smile.
That Trekking yarn you won is gorgeous!! Those are going to be some puurrrrtttyy socks.
I’m kind of having a year of the sock myself. I’ve been obsessed with them since January. I’ve knit five pair so far and have two more on the needles. Summer of socks sounds like a fantastic idea.

Awwww…. But those two sure don’t need any caffeine… What?? Once a month posting?! How will we keep up with their adventures?!

Starbucks? I think they would’ve enjoyed a Teddy Bear from Beaners better!!

Look how big the boys are getting! Love the handknits, too.

Love the idea of a Summer survival kit for socks. I may have to give that idea a try.
Poot, I find a blog I like and it’s getting ready to go on summer hiatus. Again, not a bad idea.
Your babes are darling! Hope you all have fun with the handknit tour

UGH! I just found you and now you are off on summer break? RATS!
Oh well, I will have to be happy with the monthly posts. After all, summer IS the time to go out and enjoy life. Can’t wait to see all the socks you will be making.
congrats on winning. That’s always so fun.

I know what you mean about the warm weather and cutting down on the puter’ time. I hope to get into a regular walking routine soon.
Summer is perfect for socks, nothing dragging around in your lap.

Looks like a great expedition!

I’m a mom of 5, youngest now 2. I just love babies(no kidding!)and sorry to say I will not make it with only 1 post of them per month. Please just put a picture up now and then, even if there’s no blogging! They are just the sweetest. We loved their little ‘crying video’ and my two year old kept wanting me to play it again and again!
Good job on the mothering and the blog–good luck on the socks!

I think the socks are a great idea…even though you’ll be posting less. Maybe you’ll post progress shots of the socks once a month and extra pics of the boys?
Or, maybe you’ll just enjoy the heck out of some fresh air and thriving boys?

*pout* Only once a month? But, of course, those boys deserve your attention far more than the computer.
Glad the package arrived!

finally got to see the pictures, the computers at work would only let me see the text. those hats are great.

Yeah if I had a summer packed with a pair of cuties like that that, I wouldn’t be blogging much either.

hey — what happened to your list of other blogs — I could probably make it with you only posting every few weeks, but just LOVE the same blogs you do! Or, is the the PC issue again for me? Gotta get a new one.

Yay Starbucks! My favorite! Looks like perhaps you were at the Eastwood one? I don’t hang out there because it’s so small, but I love it being there when I’m shopping.
The Okemos location is my home away from home.

What goodlooking little guys! If you’re only posting once a month, you definitely should post updates of the little fellows. I’m out of sock yarn! Gack! Well, fun sock yarn, anyway…

Hurrah RSV season is over. Those little guys will really enjoy being out and about as they see the world from their stroller. And you’ll be happier not being stuck in the house all the time.

They are so cute!!! Hope you enjoy the warmer weather when it gets here!

Once a month? That’s it!! I don’t know if I can wait a month between your posts. I love reading your blog … its one of my favourites. And it has some of the cutest pictures in blogland.
The boys look quite happy in their stroller. I, too, am enjoying this warmer weather. My three year old and I have started going for walks in the morning while my five year old is at school. Its nice to get out again.

As always, the boys are too cute but the knitwear makes me drool! Love the color of the cable sweater knit by you.

Ah, you’ll be missed. Check out the Beach to Beacon race in Maine, it’s Joan Benoit-Samuelson’s race. Bring the fam for a vacation next summer and I’ll treat you to a nice New England Clambake!
