Ditto the first

The only thing different on this one is the ommission of the little garter stitch border that breaks the cables from the stockinette part and as far as you know, I meant to do that. I selected this pattern to practice for hubby’s gansey and now I’m a little ganseyed out. For some reason the shot doesn’t highlight my continued love of the mattress stitch as all the seaming is quite perfect in my not-so-humbled opinion. Maybe it has something to do with that fact that I threw it on the cement and clicked. I didn’t bend down as my back is a little achy breaky from making this mistaky:

We went to the zoo yesterday and I carried this man-child for the trip. Our heads are the same size. I also am proudly smiling with lipstick across my teeth..I’m out of practice.
We saw a tiger:
This was actually the only tiger at the zoo minus one baby snow leopard.
And we saw a monkey:

We did see plenty of monkeys and found the monkey area to have a very similar scent to a certain area in our home where two other monkeys reside.
The trip was fun, no fussy babes, and the boys identified their favorite exhibit to be the large ceiling fans in the lemur building.

The second gansey turned out great!
Ohhh, you’re making me Lansing-sick! I’ve got a picture for each year of Chunky’s life in those same cut outs!

Time for the stroller brigade to take over the back breaking work!! Isn’t it a riot that their heads are so big??!! Yet, when they are grown their heads are the same size as yours??!! Magic.
We have all those animal/child shots and watching the kids change is magic too. Enjoy!

The pictures are too cute! Our first visit to the zoo was on Mother’s day – I was so excited and sweet child was afraid of the animals and cried when she saw them
I think she’s getting over that, she actually pointed at the monkeys last time we were there.
(love the knitting, too!)

Cute pix. Love the serious look of that tiger, plug and all.
I took Cam to Chicago when he was about 4. We went to the aquarium and the museum of science and whatever and stayed at a hotel with a pool. All he remembered was related to traffic: The yellow checkered cabs, double decker bus and lots of airplanes.

Too cute! Monkeys indeed.
Ya know, if you hadn’t pointed out the lipstick on the teeth, I wouldn’t have even noticed. And whoever took the photo should have told you beforehand. (Way to go, hubby!)
That sweater rocks!

The sweater looks great! And the photos of the kids are adorable!
Have you tried a fabric over-the-shoulder sling for the little ones? They’re often a lot less back-breaking (and shoulder-aching!) than the Baby Bjorn.

The gansey looks great. I like the initals–I didn’t really catch it in #1.
How many times were you stopped at the zoo? I’m sure you heard the full gamet of multiple questions.
I couldn’t even see the lipstick. You and the man-child look great.

Getting pretty good with those seams!

They gansey looks great! I would have succumbed to second-gansey syndrome long, and applaud you for your hard work.
Love the little monkeys! They look right at home at the zoo

Love the monkey and the tiger. Those have got to be the cutest creatures I’ve ever seen at the zoo.
I can’t believe how big the boys are getting. Time sure does pass by quickly. The gansey looks great! I’m thinking about making one for each of my kids, but I need to buy some yarn first … and then hope I don’t get gansey’ed out.

The gansey is beautiful!
What an adorable tiger, and that little monkey is to die for!

Kristi,
To avoid lipstick teeth (the only thing I ever learned from Mademoiselle magazine as a teen).. put your lipstick on, and then stick your finger into your mouth and close your lips around it. Slowly pull your finger out. Lipstick will be on your finger, but won’t get on your teeth!
I’ve been following your blog for a while now and I love it… I just nominated you for the Rockin’ girl blogger!

Hehe! Such cute animals.
I remember the ceiling fan phase, it would entertain my babies for a while! Hypnotic.
Pretty sweater, too. Isn’t that the way to take pics? Just plop it down and snap? That’s what I do!

Excellent pictures! Of the boys and the sweater. You are one fast knitter, lady.
